Our Story (and we’re stickin’ to it!)
What started as a fun way to finance following the Grateful Dead up and down the East Coast in late 1985 with some friends quickly became a way to generate what, to 20-year-olds, seemed like a pretty lucrative side income. As our designs and color palettes increased, so did the demand for our dyes - within a year or so we were selling to boutiques, beach stores, new age shops, as well as knockin’ ‘em dead at craft shows.
Now, more than two decades (and a few name changes) later, VibraDyes marches on. Any of the designs and color schemes on this site (and many others as well!) can be made for you, and special orders are fine with us. In fact, many customers choose to purchase their own (100% cotton) garment and send it to us with colors and/or design specified.
So have a look at our site, which gives a sampling of what we can do. VibraDyes remain the most beautiful, inventive, and long-lasting dyes around - or so our many repeat customers tell us!
